Caught between both men, Lucinda tugged at their sleeves and put their hands together.
“I’m not much of a dancer. You two can go ahead and enjoy yourselves.
I need to use the restroom, but I’ll be back soon.”
Kyson worriedly protested, “The palace is like a maze. You might get lost. Let me ask Jamie to accompany you.”

Frowning, Lucinda retorted, “Are you suggesting that a man should accompany me to the ladies’ room? It’s rather strange. I’ll manage on my own or ask the maids for direction.”
